Those attributes can be seen in the programs of this year’s Working Well Award winners. The Health and Wellness Coalition of Wichita will honor Bombardier Learjet, the city of Derby, and Start-Thinking LLC during the 2010 Working Well Conference Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Wichita. #ThinkingFit program wins award

The Health and Wellness Coalition of Wichita announced this week that Start-Thinking is the recipient of the 2010 Working Well Award in the category of Most Innovative. To see the winners of the small business and large business awards click here. We were awarded based on our innovative approach to incorporate physical activity in the work place. Through our ThinkingFit program we work out three times a week with a trainer who motivates us to stay on track and accomplish our fitness goals. More Fit For Golf

For the past few golf seasons I’ve struggled on the back nine with a stiff back, tightening up, and other excuses for a higher score. I had tried to remedy these with stretching exercises done when nobody was looking, sports drinks and hydration and nutrition. Yesterday I was fortunate to play at a client’s fundraiser and, for the first time in years, felt none of these maladies. I still stayed hydrated and kept nuts nearby but I can directly attribute my exercise regimine setup by Robbie Ray. It must have helped my score some but then, it needs a lot …

 

The Competition

The Competition

Today we spiced up our workout with Robbie Ray with some relay competitions. Although the goal was to support each other, there was a look of “you’re going down,” in our eyes. Kris and Molly competed against each other first. The race consisted of 10 push-ups, lunges down to the mat, 10 touch the sky, shuffle back to the other mat, 10 cobra push-ups, lunges down, 10 touch the sky and a final shuffle back.
